Before submitting an item

Are engraving, etching and laser marking the same?

No. They may create similar visual effects, but use different processes and interact differently with each material. Phoenix recommends the method after assessment.

Can you engrave anything?

No. PVC, unknown plastics, some coated items, heat-sensitive products, reflective surfaces and certain composites may be unsafe or unsuitable. We may decline materials that cannot be identified.

Can I supply my own item?

Selected items may be accepted after inspection and, where possible, testing. Hidden coatings, internal stress, prior damage and unknown composition create risk; customer-supplied items are processed at the customer’s risk and replacement value is not automatically covered.

Will the colour match my screen?

Engraving typically reveals or changes a surface rather than printing an exact colour. Final contrast varies by material, coating, grain and lighting.

Send a clear photo and the material details.
